HRA/HCA Rollover Funds
CDHP Plan members who have a remaining HRA/HCA amount from 2009 with UnitedHealth Care (UHC) are not currently able to view those balances in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) system, via Blue Access® for Members. The rollover funds will remain with UHC until June 30, 2010, so that they can continue to process claims for 2009 dates of service and apply any HRA/HCA funds for those services. UHC, your prior insurance carrier, will continue to accept any claims with HRA/HCA benefits through May 31, 2010 (for 2009 dates of service), and they will continue to process those claims through June 30, 2010. After that date UHC will send BCBSNM an updated file with your rollover amount, and we will load the rollover amount into your current BCBSNM HRA/HCA account. You should see your updated balance shortly after July 1, 2010.

Within one month of enrollment, expect a call from BCBSNM to help you better understand and learn how to maximize the benefits this plan. The welcome call provides a convenient opportunity to get answers to questions you may have about your health plan.
