This is the health plan for New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority (NMRHCA) members with Medicare.
The new BCBSNM Medicare Supplement Plan includes benefits for:
- Services covered by Medicare and received from Medicare-participating providers (providers who accept Medicare assignment):
- No copayments or coinsurance
- No filing of claim forms for services received in the U.S.
- No referrals required
- Wellness services
- Additional coverage for services not covered by Medicare:
- Full prescription drug coverage (administered by Medco)
- Coverage when traveling abroad for medically necessary emergency care services
- Home health care/at-home recovery
With this Medicare Supplement Plan, BCBSNM still covers your annual Part A deductible of $1,100. Please note the following:
- Beginning January 1, 2010, you are responsible for meeting the $155 Part B deductible.
- The BCBSNM Medicare Supplement Plan excludes coverage of your $155 annual Part B deductible.
- Once the Part B deductible has been met, you have no out-of-pocket costs when you choose a provider that accepts Medicare assignment for Medicare-covered services.
