ALBUQUERQUE — For 34 years, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico employees have raised funds for students through Operation Back to School, an employee driven initiative that provides the supplies students need to excel in the classroom.
This year, BCBSNM employees donated and delivered more than $6,000 in supplies to support students at Rudolfo Anaya Elementary in Albuquerque’s South Valley and Ruidoso Municipal Schools in Ruidoso, NM.
“We understand many families are unable to buy everything their child needs each school year,” said Janice Torrez, BCBSNM president. “We hope these supplies help families in the South Valley and our neighbors affected by the Ruidoso wildfires, to have a successful start to the school year.”
