Support for Our Members Affected by Floods

Nov. 1, 2024

We are supporting our members who reside in Chaves County and were impacted by the floods by following the Office of the Superintendent of Insurance’s emergency order.

The order applies to our fully insured members, and the State of New Mexico Risk Management Division has elected to opt into the order’s relief.

We are extending the following relief from the OSI emergency order to our impacted members and groups, as applicable, for 120 days or until the emergency order expires, beginning Oct. 21:

  • Provide a grace period for payment of insurance premiums and offer policyholders a payment plan of no less than six months
  • Waive cost sharing and deductibles
  • Postpone cancellations and non-renewals
  • Waive early-refill time limits on active prescriptions
  • Allow replacement for lost or damaged medication
  • Waiving frequency limits to permit one eyeglass/contact lens set, hearing aid, dentures/prosthodontics, disposable medical supplies and DME
  • Waive prior authorization requirements for medically necessary services

Spread the word: If you or someone you know has been affected, call the number on your member ID card or 1-800-835-8699. If the ID card was lost, it can be downloaded digitally by logging into Blue Access for MembersSM.
