Effective March 1, 2023, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) will begin implementing a new requirement for all provider onboarding applications: all required fields in onboarding applications and related forms must be filled out completely or the document(s) will be rejected.
BCBSNM is making this change to help expedite the process. The required fields will be marked with an asterisk (*). If there is a field that isn’t required and doesn’t apply to you, it can be left blank.
You can review the status of your application to see if it was rejected along with the reason(s). Once an onboarding application is submitted, you can check the status by entering the case number you’ll receive in a confirmation email after it’s submitted and you will enter that in our Case Status Checker. You will also receive a notification if it was rejected.
The onboarding application and related forms can be found on the provider website in the "How to Join BCBSNM Provider Networks" section under the "Network Participation" tab.
