Health Care Authority Creates a Payment Reform for Primary Care Providers

Sept. 12, 2024 (Updated: Sept. 17, 2024)

The New Mexico Health Care Authority has developed an updated Primary Care Payment Reform Value-Based Program for Medicaid primary care providers. Registration for the new PCPR VBP opens Sept. 16, 2024.

Register by Oct. 14 to maximize your quality bonus payment by being eligible for both first quarter (July to September 2024) and second quarter (October to December 2024) bonus payments. Providers that register after Oct. 14 will not qualify for bonus payments until the third quarter (January to March 2025).

Providers that register by Oct. 14 will need to meet first quarter data submission requirements by completing their onboarding test data submission task. The task requires providers to answer a few questions, attend a Structural Measure Planning meeting and complete an attestation.

After HCA has notified us that you have completed all necessary steps to register, we will contact you to contractualize the program.
