We will begin collecting medical records from Turquoise Care providers for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set measures in February 2025 for the previous year. We collect this data to measure quality of care and member outcomes.
How you can help
- Supply medical records within three to five business days after you receive a request.
- Patient authorization is not required to release these records. Their collection and review is considered a component of health care operations under the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.
- Medical records should be furnished at no cost to BCBSNM. Providing the records is a contractual requirement. If you use a print vendor, it remains your responsibility to submit the medical records in a timely manner.
When submitting records: A representative may contact you to coordinate the submission of medical records. You may receive multiple requests. Carefully review each request to verify that the information you are providing is correct and complete and that your office has provided the medical records needed.
Please contact the representative listed on our medical records request if you have any questions or to request an on-site appointment.
