Cultural competency training is an annual requirement for all contracted New Mexico Medicaid providers. We also require the training for all providers serving our members in our commercial and Medicare plans. You can take the training online.
To access the training: Select this link to go to a sign-in page requesting your Tax ID, NPI and other demographic information. The link is in the Provider Training section on our Medicaid and Provider Training pages.
The training encompasses an overview of the diverse population in New Mexico to help providers support all members’ access to appropriate care.
You’re only required to take this training once annually with one New Mexico Medicaid managed care organization. If you took it this year with another MCO, you’ll need to submit an attestation confirming you completed it for 2024.
The training and attestation form require you to provide your 10-digit NPI number. Don’t use any dashes or spaces when entering your NPI. Check that your NPI number is entered correctly before you start the training or submit your attestation.
