Errors and Omissions Coverage Is Required for All Agents

An errors and omissions (E&O) insurance policy helps protect you and your business from financial disaster should you ever face litigation. It is also required for all Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) producers, as outlined in your Producer Agreement.

Do we have your certificate of coverage?

  • Be sure that BCBSNM has a copy of your certificate of coverage on file.
  • You must renew your coverage annually and provide a certificate of coverage upon renewal.
  • Note: If you have recently submitted your certificate, thank you for helping us keep your records current. There is no need to submit it again.

How to submit your certificate of coverage:

  • Use the Producer Services tool on Blue Access for ProducersSM.
  • Go to: Home > Producer Services > Request Assistance > Errors & Omissions Upload.
  • Note: Do not use any symbols (for example: $ , .) when entering the dollar amounts under Aggregate and Per Claim.

Background: Producer Agreement, 1.10 Errors and Omissions Coverage
Producer agrees that for the term of this Agreement, Producer shall at all times be covered by an errors and omissions policy of insurance in full force and effect. Upon request, Producer shall provide a copy of a certificate of coverage, which coverage shall not be permitted to lapse unless at least 30 days prior written notice has been given.
